SCHWARZ PHARMA, Inc. offers patients and healthcare professionals alike the flexibility of choice. Both Colyte^® with flavor packs and TriLyte^® with flavor packs allow patients to choose from five flavors.

At SCHWARZ PHARMA, we believe patient preference—in both flavors and either a lower-sodium or standard preparation—may enhance compliance. For physicians, enhanced compliance makes the colonoscopy procedure clearer and allows for a more accurate diagnosis. For patients, a clear colonoscopy enables them to avoid having to repeat the procedure.

The flavor packs for both of our products are designed to prevent patients from experiencing "taste bud fatigue." It is our hope that by offering true patient choice, the preparation will be easier to complete and more pleasant, causing patients to drink an adequate amount of the formulation as prescribed by you.

Colyte^® with flavor packs:

Since 1984, Colyte^® with flavor packs has been trusted by thousands of gastroenterologists. It features:

• Five fruit flavors
• An easy-to-fill, easy-to-pour bottle
• Measure markings
• When consumed, this solution causes no significant changes in fluid and electrolyte balance
• Shortened prep time (one day vs. two days with saline laxatives) for greater patient convenience

TriLyte^® with flavor packs:

TriLyte^® with flavor packs also features five flavors packaged with just one bottle, as well as:

• A lower-sodium, high-PEG formulation, designed for patients who prefer a less salty taste
• The distinction of being the only reduced-sodium PEG lavage with five flavor packs

As with all polyethylene glycol (PEG) lavages, nausea, abdominal fullness, and bloating are the most common adverse reactions, occurring in up to 50% of patients. Oral medication administered within 1 hour of the start of administration of Colyte^® with flavor packs or TriLyte^® with flavor packs may be flushed from the gastrointestinal tract and not absorbed.
